LOCATION

The Colloquium will be held at Providence College, 1 Cunningham Square, Providence, Rhode Island 02918.

If you are traveling by plane there are two airports that service this location. T.F. Green (roughly 18 miles from PC) and Boston Logan International Airport (roughly 55 miles from PC). Please note; flights into Boston tend to be a lot cheaper then flights into Providence.  Please contact Lisa F. Directions to Campus (to Eaton Street Entrance)

From Fall River, New Bedford, and Cape Cod
Take I-195 West to I-95 North, to Rhode Island Exit 23 (State Offices). Immediately keep right toward Route 44/State Offices. At the traffic light, turn right onto Orms Street. After the first light, bear right onto Douglas Avenue (Route 7). Proceed 0.7 miles to the third light on Douglas and make a left-hand turn onto Eaton Street. Proceed about 0.2 miles to the Eaton Street Entrance. Follow signs for parking and registration.

From Boston and Points North
Follow I-95 South to Rhode Island Exit 23 (Charles Street). Proceed right onto Charles Street and go 0.2 miles to the first light at Admiral Street. Take a left onto Admiral Street and proceed approximately 1.2 miles to the third light at River Avenue. Take a left onto River Avenue to the next light (0.4 miles) at Eaton Street. Take a left-hand turn onto Eaton Street, proceed about 0.2 miles to the Eaton Street Entrance. Follow signs for parking and registration

From T.F. Green Airport (PVD), Southern Connecticut, New York City & Points South
Take I-95 North to Rhode Island Exit 23 (State Offices). Immediately keep right toward Route 44/State Offices. At the traffic light, turn right onto Orms Street. From Albany and Western Massachusetts using I-90
Take I-90 East to Exit 10A (Worcester / Providence, Routes 146/20) which will lead you to Route 146 South (Providence). For almost an hour, follow Route 146 South into Providence, RI, to the Admiral Street exit. Take a right onto Admiral Street and proceed approximately 1.1 miles to the second light at River Avenue. Take a left onto River Avenue to the next light (0.4 miles) at Eaton Street. Take a left-hand turn onto Eaton Street, proceed about 0.2 miles to the Eaton Street Entrance. Follow signs for parking and registration

From Hartford and Central Connecticut
Take I-84 to Route 2 East. Follow Route 2 East to Norwich, CT and then take I-395 North. Proceed along I-395 North to Route 6 East. Take Route 6 East into Johnston, RI. Proceed along Route 6 East to Route 10 North. Take I-95 North to Rhode Island Exit 23 (State Offices). Immediately keep right toward Route 44/State Offices. At the traffic light, turn right onto Orms Street. After the first light, bear right onto Douglas Avenue (Route 7). Proceed 0.7 miles to the third light on Douglas and make a left-hand turn onto Eaton Street. Proceed about 0.2 miles to the Eaton Street Entrance. Follow signs for parking and registration

Accommodations on campus

All guests are welcomed to stay on campus in Suite Hall. Suites Hall was built in 2004 and is located on East Campus. It is a six-story, 374 occupant residence hall featuring suite-style accommodations. Guests can either have a single or two person bedroom in suites who share a common living space and bathroom area. Each floor has a two-room study lounge. The first floor has the Suites Pavilion, a larger lounge that is occasionally used for different functions on campus. The laundry room is located next to the entrance of the building.  If necessary, further rooms will be opened up in adjacent residence hall apartments.

Check-In Procedures
 Room check-in will take place in Suites Hall. Check-in will run from 1:00 pm until 5:30 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Suites Hall. Participants who have registered for the Colloquium and who have requested on-campus accommodations will be contacted with regard to check-in procedures.

Optional Evening in Newport, Rhode Island

Newport, Rhode Island is a quaint seaside city with unparalleled ocean views, world renowned accommodations and experiences unlike any other. A visit to Newport, Rhode Island has always been at the top of everyone’s to do list when they visit Rhode Island. You would depart Providence College at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 22, 2018 for a 50 minute scenic bus ride. Once you arrive in Newport, you have the option to do a plethora of experiences; such as walk around town and enjoy the waterfront and all it as to offer in dining, shopping, and historical findings; take in a comedy show, or enjoy a cruise onboard the M/V Gansett for a one and half hour narrated harbor boat tour and sunset cruise on Narragansett Bay.  There is an additional $32.00 fee for the Sunset Cruise. To reserve a space for this event, please fill out the attached form and submit it along with your payment.  Please note: For those of you who wish to return to campus early, we will be offering an early departure bus from Newport, Rhode Island at roughly 9:00 pm and for those who wish to stay a bit longer, there will be a late bus departing Newport, Rhode Island at roughly 11:00 pm.
